River Run Plantation  is a country-club style community of private homes. Each  home is serenely  nestled within mature tall  trees on a large nature lot. This heavily wooded community is scenically situated along side the Lockwood Folly River on the southern coast of North Carolina.

   The Atlantic Ocean is convenient to homeowners and their guests at nearby at Sunset Beach.  Sunset Beach is the southernmost inhabited island in North Carolina. It is an island of beach cottages and condominiums, only 3 miles long, and is only accessible via a bridge over the salt marsh.  This pristine beach, with its thick sea oats, welcomes hundreds of shore birds each morning, as it is bordering the southernmost, undeveloped barrier island, Bird Island.
