Residential Addition Project

This residential addition, located on scenic Oak Island, was uniquely designed to maintain the cottage charm of this coastal home while providing an additional 951 sq. ft. of HCAP accessible heated living space. This area, along with decks, porches and a carport were seamlessly added onto the rear and right side of the residence.

This addition of this space allowed the homeowners to add a HCAP Physical Therapy Room, full bathroom, laundry facilities, and a storage closet, all set behind the existing two car garage. A large, centrally located sundeck (with a spa) along the rear of the house adjoins both the new Physical Therapy wing and the new family room. This family room was added to the right rear of the house off the existing kitchen. It room opens via French doors to a new side screened porch that has access to both the rear yard and the new covered carport which was also added to the right side of the house in front of the new screened porch.
